BMW Snowmobile

Snowmobile or what! Exeter to Dorchester late Thu night 5 Feb 09 riding into teeth of a full-on North Pole blizzard in Devon on ….. BMW 1200RT. Made it…? yes. Fall off? twice! Damage…? None found yet!

Couldn’t stay the night so pressed on for home. Passed loads of lorries and cars who’d given up and decided freezing to death all night was preferable to anything else. Steady 30 mph using as much slushy bits as existed.

Had to stop every mile or so to clear visor of snow build up making sure some numpty didn’t run into the back of me but so few cars able to move was fairly safe. Just wished I had a small pair of skiis on my boots!

BM behaved beautifully though i never used more power that an electric push bike. Arrived home still warmish and knackered but what an experience. Don’t want to do that again but I will if i have to.
