Harley-Davidson corrosion

I’d like to express my disapointment at the extensive corrosion on my 23 month old Harley-Davidson Nightster.

As expected the spokes are rusted, and nuts and bolts, but what I find unacceptable is the paint peeling off the forks and drive belt gaurd as well as the engine.

I am more of a rider than a cleaner but after every winter ride it has been cleaned and protected.

It recently went for its 10000 mile service and I was told that they couldn’t access the air filter because of corrosion siezing the back plate, the throttle adjusters were seized and the clutch was seized.

is this acceptable? I’m about to speak to trading standards. the bike wasn’t cheap. I expected better quality.
