Pidcock ditches Kawasaki, shuts down Derby

Bike chain Pidcock has closed its Derby Branch after falling out with Kawasaki.

The dealership also had a Suzuki franchise which Pidcock says it will relocate near Long Eaton.

In a statement MD Chris Pidcock said:

“We have decided to leave the Kawasaki Network due to poor control of its dealer network.

“Having been in the Kawasaki Network as a main dealer for 32 years, this was not an easy decision to make.

“We are intending to relocate the Suzuki Franchise into Long Eaton or somewhere close by, which will allow us to cover both Derby and Nottingham areas.

“This will give us the critical mass of customers that is needed to sustain a dealership in today’s market place.”
