Biker discrimination in Wales?

What a glorious morning for a ride down to wales – or so i thought.

I went my usual route, through Market Drayton to the raven up to llangolen on to the horse shoe pass to the ponderosa. Then down into wrexham and thats where it all changed the blue and a siren brought me to a stand still.

I wondered what the problem was, i was totaly legal and hadn’t been speeding, “whats the problem” i asked, the copper asked all the usual questions about tax insurance etc, then went on to add he had been instructed to stop as many motorbike in wrexham and all of Wales as possible, when i asked why his answer was the police superintendant did not want motorbikes in wales.

He told me that he was a biker himself so i asked him what he did, his reply was he hadn’t been pulled up yet and laughed. I bid him a good day and told him i would see him next week.Do you think this is discrimination against us bikers. I have been riding bikes for 34 yrs and never heard anything like it before. Would like to hear your views, and anyone not been before get yourselves down to llangolen its a fantastic ride and a beautiful place.
