What a bunch of wimps bikers have become!

Having just arrived back from summer hols, I have been hit by this vile “tax” of Westminster Council who are now charging bikes to park, which I knew nothing about. To say I am angry about it is an understatement.

How ironic that it should be the wealthiest Council that is the first to implement a totally unjustifiable additional road-tax on bikers. Equally gaulling is the nambie-pambie, totally non-commital whinging from supposed fellow-bikers who clearly aren’t prepared to do anything about it – just roll over and accept it.

It is clearly obvious that Westmonster themselves were bracing themselves for an onslaught of macho bikers prepared to bring them to their knees. You only have to look at Paul Amery’s Facebook campaign to see how quick Westmonster officials were to offer “talks” with even the most fledgling opposition (albeit growing) campaign that Paul has managed to create.

Yet, from what I can see, that is as far as any opposition to this outrageous money-grabbing exercise extends. Do you smug wimps sitting back saying “well, it’s London’s problem, doesn’t effect me” not realise that this is just the tip of the iceberg!!! Once Westmonster feel that they have got away with this “only” £1.50 (how quick they have been to emphasise the “only”), just like the congestion charge, it will soon be up to £5 and will start to be rolled out by other Councils who are currently sitting back letting Westminster take the flak….which has been pretty non-existant by all accounts.

Ignore this charging at your peril, people!! It will get to you unless we all come together and crush it now. If you are a biker of any description, you have a duty to your fellow bikers to join this campaign, even if it the nearest thing to anything ant-establishment you do in your tiny life. Help us show that bikers are not to be messed with – we don’t roll over like other forms of transport.
