Track days- everyone should try it

This is a photo of me at last Sundays (28th Sep) track day at Kirkistown race track which is situated a short distance off the Newtownards coast in Northern Ireland.

I ride a BMW R1200RT as my everyday transport covering over 26000 miles in the last 14 months on the BM and another 3000 on the SP2.

I bought the Honda last December as a damage repairable which one of my mates had managed to wash out the front end on while chasing a Fireblade on our way to Portrush.

It ended up standing on its nose entangled in a wire fence looking a bit sorry for itself while my mate brushed himself off and proceeded to take a lot of stick from the rest of us…. once we knew he was ok of course! (photo attached).

It’s now my Sunday run and track bike and while riding on the road is great, there is nothing like the rush you get on the track, every rider should try it.
