German team build the 'world's heaviest bike'

Aprilia might be obsessed with saving weight on its new RSV4, but the Germans are bucking the trend with 4.7 tonne, tank-engines behemoth.

Named Katharina die Grose, it holds the world record for being the heaviest motorcycle in the world. It was built by Mike Opara, Ingo Brandt and Tilo and Wilfried Niebel at German firm Harzer Bike Schmiede.

The team has ridden the bike at 50mph, but say it will go faster!
