Heaven Can Wait

1 of 1

Members of the Heaven Can Wait charity motorbike ride met with World Record holders Kevin and Julia Sanders of GlobeBusters during an open day at the Sawbridgeworth BMW dealership in Hertford.

Kevin and Julia were on hand to discuss their latest exploits and were quick to offer advice for Kevin Gent, the man behind Heaven Can Wait, as he leads his team on a Land’s End to John O’Groats trip in just one day in aid of Cancer Research UK and the Nottingham City Hospital.

Kevin, an Ambulance Technician from Derbyshire, was diagnosed with thymic cancer in 2005 and is now on the road to recovery, but this distance ride will still test him to the limit. Steve Crowther, dealer principle at SBW-Motorrad, has donated the use of two R1200GS Adventure bikes for the weekend of the journey, on July 26th, which will be auctioned to the highest bidder.

The Heaven Can Wait team hope to raise thousands and you generous readers can help them on their way. Donations can be made via their website www.HeavenCanWait.uk.com where you can also register for the free newsletter giving you a chance to win a decent prize!

The team still have plenty of sponsorship opportunities available for interested parties and further details can be found on the website. Pictured are Kevin Sanders on the BMW and Kevin Gent – collection box at the ready.
