Bennetts Insurance rip off

I took out some insurance to cover a scooter last year, but towards the end of my insurance deal I sold the bike and let my insurance lapse.

I was surprised to find Bennetts insurance company had taken another years payment from my account without notification. I phoned them to find out what was going on and they said they do this automatically if I don’t cancel it.

Anyway, I was more surprised to find that once I had returned my insurance certificate to them not only did it take them over three weeks to refund my money but they deducted a £50 admin fee in the process!

Beware other – make sure you cancel your insurance policies if they are not required!
