Quad-death father charged with manslaughter

The father of a seven year old girl who was killed when her quad bike collided with an oncoming vehicle was charged with manslaughter yesterday.
Gary Cooke was leading his daughter Elizabeth up a country lane near their home in Blackmore, Essex, in his car, when the accident occurred last December. The driver of the other vehicle was not charged.
Cooke is scheduled to appear before magistrates next Thursday for sentencing.
