R&G release first tail tidy for 2008 Honda Fireblade

1 of 7

Dumping the ugly rear number plate hanger on the new Honda Fireblade isn’t simple – the long hanger is moulded into the stock tool tray, so it’s not a quick bolt-off.

R&G have been working flat out with one of the first bikes in the UK and are the first to create a replacement tail tidy that tucks the plate and indicators under the tail unit just like Honda’s designers probably intended.

The R&G tail tidy comprises of a complete replacement tool tray/under in unpainted plastic just like the original, but without the long strut to hold the numberplate just behind the rear tyre – the plate and stock indicators are instead mounted tight to the tail unit, just forward of the stock rear light which is retained.

The kit also accepts aftermarket indicators. It costs £115 and bolts directly in place of the original.

  • R&G have also created a full crash protector kit – aero protectors (£59), fork spindle protectors (£29.99), bar end sliders (£24.99), swingarm bobbins (£24.99), rear spindle sliders (£29.99) and a race-style toe guard (£29.99). A radiator grill is also available for £60. Details: 01420 521100 or www.rg-racing.com
