Snow-going motorcycle

While we don’t quite get the winters for it in this country, this creation from Canadian firm AD Bovin is designed to turn your road bike into a snow-cycle.

Although it’s not the first firm to make such a kit – replacing the rear wheel with tracks and the front with a ski – the new Explorer kit is designed to fit road-legal enduros as well as pure motocrossers.

The £1500 kit even uses the bikes original brakes and suspension, so fitting it is simply a case of removing the wheels and bolting the snow equipment in their place.

To show it off, the firm has made a demonstration machine from Aprilia’s exotic 450cc V-twin RXV enduro bike rather than a more conventional single-cylinder model, although the kit will fit virtually any bike.
