Don’t pay the experimental parking tax - this is what happens

Westminster Council have started to use bully tactics against people not paying the experimental (Elusive Public Notice unlawfully taken down by Westminster – http://www.notobikeparkingfees.com/wp-content/images/upload/s/2008/11/westminsterpublicnotice.jpg) motorcycle parking tax imposed on them without justification. They will clamp you!

Westminster have promised borough-wide security devices in all bays, yet even though they went ahead with the parking charge they still can’t decide which device to go with, can they not consult with other boroughs and motorcycle groups – they will soon tell Westminster which devices work best.

Cllr Danny Chalkley is the soul implementer of parking tax, he needs to realise that this Experimental Traffic Order that Westminster are using to raise revenue from motorcyclists is not wanted and in a democratic system objections must be taken seriously, be from your own Westminster residents and everyone else it affects, including the businesses in Westminster, the commuters, the visitors, and the motorcycle manufacturers, plus the key-workers who ride in to the city on the weekend yet still have to pay on Saturday.

This scheme goes against the Mayor of London’s ambition to encourage a move from four wheels to two.
