Vintage motorcycles stolen from pensioner

1 of 1

An octogenarian has had her collection of vintage motorcycles looted by thieves, who broke into the outbuilding at her farmhouse where the collection was stored.

Joyce Cobbing had built up the collection of 100 motorcycles over a period of 61 years, after she bought her first motorcycle at the age of 22.

The thieves targeted the most valuable vehicles, stealing a 1915 Brough Ladies, a 1904 Humber, a 1926 Moto Guzzi, and a Hobart built in 1911. The total value of the motorcycles is around £125,000.

Cobbing believes the thieves would have a hard time offloading the stolen machinery because it is so rare, and is hopeful of having the motorcycles returned.
