Continental touring

Every year I try and fit in a 10 or 12 day European trip. This is the highlight of my biking year not just because of the awesome roads and camaraderie but also the response we get wherever we go. People seem so keen to have bikers in their hotels and often move their cars out of their garages to put the bikes in. Only ever been refused one hotel and because we ordered two twin rooms (keeps the cost down) the lady owner thought we were gay and the vacancy sign went up. Bit like in Easy Rider!Thats the Rhine for you. Ho ho! Otherwise nothing but welcomes everywhere you go. So far lasy tears trip to Spain and Portugal is probably the highlight but been to France, Germany, Holland Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy and Austria. Each year brings something new and as an overnight Hull-Zeebruge ferry with cabin costs less than bike and rider for the TT, it will carry on.
