Road debris

I understand that BMF are to campaign for cleaner roads and quicker clean up after problems. My experience today suggests they’ll have their hands full. As I passed a busy junction (entry to a supermarket) I had to swerve to miss a construction barrier that was supposed to be protecting a road centre excavation. Along with all the other 3 sides, it had been pushed over, obstructing both carriageways. Presumably some drunk did the dirty deed last night. I say this because I passed the same spot in the opposite direction a couple of hours later and the obstacle course was still in place. The reason I’m sceptical about the aims of BMF is that the road works are right outside the local police HQ and police drivers must have had the same difficulty as everybody else.
