1 of 4

One of the twelve MV Agusta’s built in German between 1979 and 1980 is up for sale on a popular auction website with the price tag of £28,000.

Priced at 26,000 German Marks new in 1980, the Corona 1000S was built by Hansen GmbH of Baden Baden under an agreement with MV Agusta after they’d ceased production in Italy in 1978.

The 954cc motor uses the same crankshafts as the 1000 Ago and 1100 Grand Prix machines and the model up for grabs is good for 106bhp at 9,500rpm according to the former owner, the Fuji Motor Museum.

The Corona derived from the previous model, the 900 Centro Valli, with insight from the ex-MV Agusta race director Arturo Magni

The shaft-driven in-line four weighs in dry at a claimed 255kg and is capable of 142.9mph.
