Yamaha R1 bad day in Greenwich

My clutch went on my 2000 R1 on a busy street in Greenwich and locked me in 4th which I couldn’t shift no matter how much rocking was done.

To keep my pride and joy out of danger from the traffic and to try not to cause any congestion I managed to drag it on to the path and out of the way of the HGV’s going by and while standing there explaining what had happened to the traffic warden he gave me a £50 ticket for having two wheels on a public highway, I was never going to win that day as the road was a double yellower anyway!
