Bike yobs get free road safety courses

The Safer Middlesborough Partnership has received £42,000 of lottery money to send nuisance bike riders on a road safety course.

Youths issued with Section 59 notice, which warns riders that their bikes could be seized, will be sent on the five week course to teach them bike awareness and, it’s hoped, keep them out of harm’s way.

Riders not issued with the warning can also enrol on the course.
