Head-on collision - and he walked away!

Last year (17/7/06 ) while I was riding home from work on my Triumph Trophy 900, I was going round a blind left handed corner when i was met by a car on my side of the road heading towards me.

I can remember thinking “oh shit ” & hitting the brakes then hearing screech, BANG, high revs then silence. Then I remember seeing tarmac beneath me as I came to a halt 60 feet away.

The eyewitness, ambulance man & police where shocked that I got up & walked away. The car that hit me was a driver under instruction doing approx 35mph overtaking a cyclist on a bend of a country lane.
