Mini bike rider loses bike after two days

A 14-year-old boy had his mini-bike seized by police just two days after paying £90 for the machine.

An officer responding to complaints about the boy riding the bike in a public area whilst not wearing a helmet claimed to have almost collided with the bike as it came around a bend on the wrong side of the road. His mother requested the bike was crushed rather than returned to the boy.
