Just one in 6000 illegal mobile phone users caught

Only one in six thousand motorists who use their phones behind the wheel in London are caught and fined.

The study conducted by the Liberal Democrats showed 50 fixed-penalty notices were handed out every day despite 2.6 per cent of motorists each day are spotted using a phone.
