Stephen Ladyman replaced

Stephen Ladyman has been replaced as transport minister by Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster and formerly the Department of Health minister.

A motorcyclist himself, Ladyman was recently praised by the Motorcycle Industry Association for defending motorcycling, in particular against calls for speed limiters.

The MP for South Thanet is not a minister in Gordon Brown’s new Government.
Ladyman’s portfolio as transport and roads minister included Government policy on motorcycling. The Department for the Department has yet to confirm that Winterton will take over this role.
