Three wheeled superbike

Crazy French tuner Ludovic Lazareth has created this R1-based trike – pre-empting the soon-to-be-launched Can-Am Spyder three-wheeler which is set to be launched next month.

Lazareth plans to build his Triazuma R1s to order, with a price of around £30,000.    With a full 172bhp from the R1 engine, it offers superbike-style performance.

And that’s just what the new Can-Am will also offer, thanks to power from a V-twin engine similar to Aprilia’s RSV-R motor.

On sale later this year, the Can-Am Spyder blurs the line between bikes and sports cars – but the question is; would you buy one?
