Traffic in Britain increases by 84 per cent

Traffic on Britain’s roads has almost double in three decades, government figures reveal.

Despite a slight dip in traffic between 2004 and 2005, the figures are on the rise again.

It is also bad news for the environment as a 52 per cent increase in carbon emissions was also recorded.
