Brunstrom: my two cents

I think the problem is Richard Brunstrom being so adamant on bikers being big, bad and notorious for unacceptable behavior when that’s not how they/we are now. All we hear is how bikers are in the wrong, all the statistics, yet how many of these road accident statistics don’t involve motorcycles? How many are there where the car has been in the wrong? If there is a 40mph limit put in place, how many young folk in cars are going to overtake where it’s not safe and take a bike/another car out?

If anything we need speed limits increased – traffic going faster, less congestion and no need for cameras in silly places. Let’s be fair, a member of the police force in his frame of mind isn’t going to get anybody anywhere fast.
