Manchester bus lane offenders cut

CCTV cameras monitoring bus lanes in Manchester have helped cut the number of people illegally using the lanes by a quarter.

Drivers using the lane illegally face a £60 fine if caught by the cameras or a mobile camera van.

The trial begun last year and has cut the average number of lane users from 44 to 33 per hour across the city.
