Two wheel fans have been entertained over the weekend at the 2006 International Motorcycle and Scooter Show with star riders taking to the various stages.

The event was officially kicked off by TV presenters Suzi Perry and Charley Boorman last Thursday. The pair were joined by the Minister of State for Transport, Dr Stephen Ladyman, and race stars Troy Corser, James Toseland and Ryuichi Kiyonari.

Suzuki impressed the early crowds with their new GSX-R1000 and the launch of the new B-King. Honda have used the show to introduce their new CB600F Hornet.

Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, Finlay McAllan, said: “The show got off to a fantastic start for 2006 with a number of impressive bike launches and rider appearances. With features including the Harley-Davidson V-Rod experience, the Bike Ride Out and the Off-Road Experience and the Thunderdrome Games Arena, which looks like it will be extremely popular we are looking forward to a very successful few days.”

The show will continue at Birmingham’s NEC until Sunday, November 5.
