1 of 1

The Crown Prince of Qatar paid £420,000 for a Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special at a recent charity auction in Qatar – about £408,000 more than list price.

A total of $11.25m was shelled out on number of exceptional items, including a match ball from this year’s FIFA World Cup final.

Money from the auction was raising money for ‘Reach out to Asia’ for their education and community work across Asia.

The blacked-out V-Rod, recently awarded the coveted MCN Cruiser of the Year title, was among a range of exclusive items auctioned at the star-studded gala dinner in Doha, Qatar.

The $800,000 paid for the Night Rod Special is only $100 dollars short of the highest amount ever spent on a Harley-Davidson. This was a Road King model auctioned by Harley-Davidson fan Jay Leno on ‘The Tonight Show’, to raise funds in support of the Asian Tsunami disaster in 2004.
