Birt's rainy experience

MCN’s MotoGP reporter Matthew Birt is in Malaysia at a winter testing session as the MotoGP regulars including newly-crowned champion Nicky Hayden get to grips with the new 800cc race bikes.

Matt had concerns of his own though, as he attempted to get video clips for MCN Mobile and www.motorcyclenews.com on his phone…trying to dodge deadly cobras lurking in the grass.

Birt commented via email: “The reason some of the footage is so hazy and quite often goes to the ground or to the tyres around the side of the track is because of the cobras round here. Happy to do this for MCN, but I ain’t dying for the privilege.”
