Bike registrations rise

New bike sales figures released yesterday shows motorcycle registrations in October 2006 have increased by nine per cent compared to the same month last year.

A total of 9,889 bikes were registered this month, taking a total for the year to 118,266.

The number of motorcycle registrations, excluding mopeds, rose by 13 per cent. Sports bikes are still leading the way, continuing as the highest selling category.
