European Scooter trip

Steve Basford, 34, is preparing to embark on an epic 6,500 mile sponsored adventure through nine European countries in four weeks – on a scooter!

Aiming to raise money for Peoples Dispensary for Sick Animals, Steve is taking his Piaggio X9 125 Evolution scooter from Spain, through Portugal, via France, Belgium, Holland and Germany, on towards the Czech Republic, Austria and Italy before revisiting France and Spain on return.

When asked about the route Steve said, “I had never done a trip like this before, so when I started planning the route, it was initially just a short one. However, there was so much of Europe I had never seen, the route just got longer and longer, and as a result it ended up as 9 countries and over 4,000 miles.”
