Bike first aid success

The Emergency Aid for Bikers course developed by St John Ambulance is proving a big success.

The course launched in February 2006, and is backed by insurance firm Bikresure, which has already spent around £30,000 promoting the training, which also gets you a five per cent discount on a Bikesure policy.

“We’re delighted by the response,” says St John Ambulance training manager Sue Skoyles. “The marketing has helped to create enormous interest. Some counties who hadn’t the resources to run the course found that demand was such that they were encouraged to change their training schedules to accomodate it.”
