Shop a biker in the post

Residents on housing estates on Wearside are being handed pre-paid envelopes to encourage them to fill in forms shopping motorcyclists.

A report on Sunderland Today says the slips are sent direct to the police.

The main targets for the campaign appear to be kids riding illegally on pathways and grassed areas. But the police also describe ‘noisy motorcyclists disturbing the peace’ as one of the issues they are keen to deal with.

Repeat ‘offenders’ will get a visit from police, backed up with a warning that they face arrest, according to Sunderland Today.
