Thieves wreck teenager's racing dreams
Updated: 19 November 2014
A teenager has had his dreams of becoming a professional racer crushed when thieves stole his motocross bike.
17-year-old Niall Johnston was horrified to discover that thieves had broken into his parent’s garage and stolen his Honda CR125 – a bike he had only just received as an early birthday present. It is thought a gang of thieves used bolt croppers to cut the “heavy duty” chains that were securing the bike. “I’m distraught,” said Johnston.
“I was planning to race full-time when I finished my A-levels next year.”
Police are appealing for information and can be contacted on 0845 33 00 247.
