Auto-Txt stops thieves

A small automotive business called RDM has picked up the 2006 ICT West Midlands Cluster Award for an innovative new tracking device.

The Auto-Txt system identifies the vehicle owner through their mobile phone.

It then texts you if the machine is started using the keys and also texts the police allowing officers to track the thieves and prevents restarting by cutting the ignition.

The award was presented last week at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
