5000 to ride pet food run

Around 5000 riders are expected to join the Potteries pet food run from Port Vale football ground on Sunday, September 18.

The event starts at 11.30am. It has been running since 1990, when 225 riders took part, and been growing ever since.

The 20-mile route is lined by animal lovers cheering on the cavalcade and handing in pet food.
