Suzuki Kawasaki split

1 of 1

Suzuki has announced that it will be ending its model sharing deal with Kawasaki as early as 2007 after they found it was leading to confusion among buyers.

The firm has previously expressed concerns about the deal, which saw the two companies sell each others models under their own branding, but has now confirmed it is pulling out.

The main part of the deal saw the firm swapping off-road machinery but also included Suzuki’s V-Strom being sold as the Kawasaki KLV1000.

A Suzuki spokesman made the announcement in Japan adding that this will not sour any other deals that the two manufacturers have.
