Harley safety recall

Harley Davidson has issued a voluntary safety recall on 2006 Dyna models due to a transmission problem.

The problem may lead to a false neutral, with the neutral light illuminated, but the bike engaging first or second gear. It affects bikes built between June 9 and October 19, 2005.

In the US, this will affect over 13,000 bikes, but in the UK, under 70 machines will be affected. Owners will be contacted by the firm for a free upgrade with three redisgned transmission parts for the six-speed greabox.
