Classic Bike Stamps

The post office is issuing two limited edition sets of stamps to celebrate the greats of British motorcycling, including the legends Geoff Duke and John Surtees.

The first of the two sets was issued on May 17 and features six different stamps covering the Isle of Man TT and will be available on special first day cover boasting artwork of seven times World champion and six times TT winner John Surtees and six times World champion and TT winner Geoff Duke as wel as a special Classic Bike postmark.

The second set is issued on July 19 and covers the classic British motorcycles from the Brough Superior to the Norton F1and also comes with the artwork and Classic Bike Postmark.

Both sets will be available in limited runs of 1000 and a select few will also be signed by the two legends themselves.

The unsigned first day covers with all six stamps on a special envelope will be available for £8.95 each or the signed covers will be available for £19.95 or £39.90 for the pair.

There will also be a £1.65 postage charge no matter how many sets you buy.
