Charity rider dies

Charity rider Simon Milward has died in a road accident in Africa during a round-the-world fund-raising ride.

Milward, the former General Secretary of the Federation of European Motorcyclists Associations (FEMA), set out on what he called The Millenium Ride in 2000 to raise money for charities providing medical assistance via motorcycles in poor countries.
