Big bid lands Foggy bike

Carl Fogarty’s own Foggy rep is on its way to a new home after Ed Vernon landed it in an MCN Auction.

Ed, from Belfast, waded in with his winning £21,350 bid with less than four minutes to go in the 10-day auction. It ended at just after 2.26pm on Friday (June 24). Bidding had started at just £750.

“I’m delighted, I can’t believe I’ve landed it.” He said. Ed is a clearly a bit of a fan. He already owns Foggy’s ex-NW200 bike (see’ Foggy’s 888 up for sale’, link, right), and thought this particular Foggy rep would be the ideal bike to have alongside it.

The NW200 bike will be seen on a parade at the Ulster GP in August. And Ed is hoping the organisers of the NW200 will find a place for the Foggy rep alongside it at the next NW200.

Ed admitted he almost missed out on winning the MCN Auction. “I’d forgotten about it and when I was reminded about it I had to rush home to place the bid.”
