Classics join copter run

Classic bike owners are invitedto exhibit their bikes at the Harwich end of the 2005 Essex Air Ambulance Dunton to Harwich Motorcycle Run on Sunday September 4.

Jane Lambert of Essex Air Ambulance, said, “Once again we are really looking forward to this year’s activities in Harwich. We had a good turn out of classic bikes and bikers last year and we feel that their presence will help to make the day even bigger and better.

“We are confident that having a classic bike exhibition will broaden the appeal of the event and help us to raise the funds needed to keep Essex’s emergency helicopter in the air. Space has been allocated for exhibitors, so anyone who would like to display their classic bikes should contact our office as soon as possible.”

Following a route approved by the Essex Police, bikers will travel down the A127 to the A130 and on to the A12. From the A12 the bikes will be directed to Harwich on the A120. Essex Air Ambulance is once again encouraging bikers to start arriving at Ford Dunton from 8.30am onwards.
