RAC to offer healthcare

1 of 1

The RAC will offer free private healthcare for accident victims in conjunction with BUPA.

The cover isn’t restricted to RAC members, and offers medium and long-term private medical care for anyone injured in an accident which wasn’t their fault. The costs will be recovered by the RAC from the insurer of the responsible third party, once legal action is completed. Emergency treament will still come from normal Accident and Emergency departments.

The RAC claim this will have benefits for everyone involved.

“The first concern should be for proper medical care, so the injured can make a speedy recovery, businesses can see staff return to work earlier, and final compensation amounts fall as accident victims are treated quickly and effectively.” said the RAC’s Jonathan Gulliford.
