Lottery funds training

More of us will get more effective rider training thanks to a grant from the National Lottery.

The Thames Vale Advanced Motorcyclists have been awarded £5,000 from the fund to buy 25 sets of bike-to-bike radios.

TVAM puts an average of 100 candidates through the IAM advanced test each year, offering free advanced rider coaching.

The group is run by volunteers and says the radios will cut the time each candidate takes to reach test standard.

Group spokesperson Alie Ball said: “The grant will enable us to improve the efficiency and, in turn, the capacity of the club.”

The group meets on the third Sunday of every month, in Berkshire.
