Miller to judge best bikes

UK legend and museum owner Sammy Miller has been named as one of the judges for the world premiere of Legend of the Motorcycle: International Concours d’Elegance.

The judging panel is headed by Mike Jackson, supported by Miller, Oriol Bulto and Bud Ekins, as well as Charles Falco, Mike FitzSimons, Dave Hansen, Lonnie Isam Jr., Mark Mederski, Chuck Vernon and Jonathan White.

“We’re extremely honored to have such an incredible group of guys involved,” says concours co-founder, Jared Zaugg. “These men are not only tremendously knowledgeable, but are legends in their own right. From racers, manufacturers, dealers, and historians, they represent motorcycling at its best.”

Legend of the Motorcycle is claimed to be the “first world-class concours d’elegance exclusively for motorcycles”. It has been established to create a forum for motorcycling on a level only previously associated with fine automobiles.

The event is being held at the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, California on May 6, 2006.
