Used bike sales rocket

Sales of used bikes have risen faster in the last quarter than at any time since records began.

Official DVLA records show 146,586 used bikes changed hands in the second quarter of 2005 – up 9.6% on the same period in 2004.

It’s the biggest rise since records began in 2000.

And it’s good news for anyone wanting to sell their bike and a major turnaround compared to the first quarter of this year – when used bike sales were 8% down compared to the same period the previous year.
