R1 sold online in hours

David Bruton placed his R1 for sale on motorcyclenews.com on Monday lunchtime. By Tuesday morning a private buyer had arrived and sealed the deal – at the full asking price.

David’s deal was done from start to finish in less than 24 hours.

The West Sussex climbing instructor is delighted with the sale of his 99 Yamaha.

“Using the site was extremely good. I put the ad on at Monday lunchtime and on Monday evening the buyer rang. He came down on Tuesday morning and paid the asking price.

“I think £4000 was a fair price. It was in immaculate condition – we were both happy with the price, “ said 52-year-old David. It had 5400 miles on the clock.
