Nicked at 205mph

Reports in the US are claiming a motorcyclist has set a new informal record for the fastest speeding ticket yet – 205mph.

He was tracked and clocked by a police airplane in Minnesota, according to reports on USA Today.

The report says the rider was on a ‘Honda 1000’. Local reports are now suggesting it was an SP-2 (RC51 in the States). We’ve never been able to get more than 170mph from a standard SP-2. It was clearly either heavily modified – or the police’s measurements are wildly out!
