NEC: What to see

1 of 1

There’s a whole lot more to the NEC bike show than just the chance to see all the latest bikes. Get yourself to Birmingham and there are so many things to do you wont have a minute to stop.

Get over to the BSM rider training stand and you can ride any one of a range of scooters around an indoor track. Or if you fancy something a bit more high speed the KTM experience outside the main entrance lets you try one of the 640cc machines around a specially laid out track.

If you don’t fancy getting all kitted up why not try one of the many simulators around the show. You can race one of the Corona Suzuki GSX-Rs in the MCN race paddock or try your luck around town on the Honda Simulator that you have to ride exactly like a real bike to avoid crashing.

The live action arena has got regular stunt shows throughout the day so you can watch as trials riders flick their bikes over obstacles that most people couldn’t even climb over.

Find out what it feels like to ride at 186mph when you enter the ThunderPod on the Autocom stand or test out the new WindStopper range from Gore in it’s Storm Cube, which blasts freezing cold air at you.

Head down to the BigCC Racing stand in the Custom Extreme zone to see their Hayabusa engine that has been fitted with a turbo system capable of producing an incredibla 600bhp at full boost. There’s also an insane Kawasaki ZX-10R with a 310bhp turbo’d engine. It’s got a specially lengthened swing arm to stop it flipping under all that power.

And if all that isn’t enough then head down to the EAR stand where you can get see live images from inside your ear and watch as they make custom molded ear plugs on the spot.

Don’t forget to check out our live NEC web cam to get all the action from the show, every day
